To change your account password, you'll need to login in to the U-Mail Identity system at:

https://secureweb.umail.ucsb.edu/identity/

Your new password must meet our strong password requirements. Strong passwords:

• are at least 8 characters in length
• contain a combination of numbers and letters in mixed cases
• don't contain personal names or words that may be found in the dictionary
• have nothing to do with your person (i.e. license plate numbers and birthdays are bad choices)
• are easily committed to memory so you don't need to write them down

Some examples of good passwords are ImN2music, latE@NitE, and r00t6TsIx. But don't use any of these as they're already published here.
