Account Activation

U-Mail accounts are provided by the University for registered graduates, undergrads, and UCSB Extension Open University students only. Faculty, staff, visiting scholars, and others may be issued an e-mail account by their host department. 

To activate your U-Mail account, you'll first need to activate your UCSBnetID using the UCSB Identity Manager. If you're eligible for a U-Mail account, the Identity Manager will notify you and step you through the process.
